5 Major Things to Consider in Your Pharmacy Design

#1 – Consider “why” you’re doing this.

This is where it starts. Each pharmacy we’ve worked with came to us with a different need. Knowing why you’re redesigning a pharmacy or just starting to build a pharmacy will help you keep your motivation and be inspired in your everyday life.

#2 – Plan Wisely. 

As the saying goes, “Measure twice, cut once.” It also applies to Pharmacy Design. It’s also suggested to spend a longer time planning your renovation that doing the project itself. Doing this will shorten your downtime, cut on the chances of lost revenue, and give a fast ROI.

#3 – Design an Efficient Layout.

When it comes to layout – you’ll need to consider the where each element is placed — shelving, work stations, shelving, point-of-sale, and so much more. With an efficient layout it can increase your customer interaction, boost sales increases efficiency, facilitates customer interaction, boosts sales, and can even improve patient outcomes.

#4 – Design it well.

Design considers how the look and feel of the whole pharmacy is. It includes lighting, signages, POP and POS displays, carpeting, and pathways and more are key elements that should NOT be neglected; they play an outsize role in customer experience, and can influence worker morale as well.

#5 – Consider your Customer. 

Who is your target market? Customers may come from every single demographic possible and there are principles for each section of the demographic. Try to incorporate the customer aspect in your design and layout.
