1. Women’s Wellness & Menopause Expert
We help individuals navigate infertility, perimenopause or menopause, and corporations position or defend their healthcare products or address the health needs of their workforce.
While I am a Harvard Medical faculty member, author of multiple books, including the bestsellers The Estrogen Window and The Estrogen Fix, and editor of HotYearsMag.com, my connection with menopause is more personal.
My wife Sharon underwent surgery that threw her into early menopause. Her doctors were reluctant to prescribe hormones, in large part due to a poorly designed study that incorrectly claimed hormones cause breast cancer and other medical risks.
With or without hormones, no one discussed with Sharon how to take care of the SUM of her, not just SOME of her. My previous infertility practice and giving lectures across the U.S. allowed me to have powerful conversations about midlife concerns with hundreds of women and doctors. This experience opened my eyes to the confusion surrounding menopause.
After taking care of 10,000+ patients, launching and growing HotYearsMag.com, speaking across the U.S., and serving as Medical Director of a publicly traded company, I’ve helped tens of thousands of women around the world and many corporations cut through the confusion surrounding menopause.
My work has earned me multiple national patient education awards, including the Media Award from the North American Menopause Society for advancing the understanding of menopause in the U.S. My current focus includes three key opportunities:
+ Online Education: My online (MenopauseBreakthroughPlan.com) program and membership community provides a safe place for women with menopause to ask questions, gain clarity, and get the right information to thrive through menopause and feel fit and fabulous.
+ 1:1 Medical and Lifestyle Coaching: An opportunity for women in perimenopause and menopause to get back in balance with life.
+ Keynote Speaking and Workshops: Harvard Faculty doc uses humor, stories, music and clear messaging to make complicated health information easy to understand and actionable.
